Schorched / decaying vegetation - a result of the aerial sprayings:

The crop in the this photo was part of the state-sponsored crop substitution program
- - it too was fumigated & destroyed!

This farmer lost his entire crop -- in addition, his eyesight has been severly damaged by the fumigations.

The coca (foreground) thrives, while the food crops (background) are decimated.
